ReStory Atari Guide

This ReStory Atari guide separates the licensed 2600, Lynx, and CX40 repair records from the Jaguar announcement, which still has no published parts list.

This ReStory Atari guide splits licensed names from devices that currently have a parts table. The December 9, 2025 tinyBuild announcement says the licensed consoles include the Atari 2600, the Jaguar, and more. The repair records checked on November 1, 2026 are the 2600, the Lynx, and the CX40.

Repair pages

  • Atari 2600: no service license in the wiki infobox. Assembly starts at the circuit board and ends at the front panel. Nine screws are recorded.
  • Atari Lynx: a ¥61,000 license. Twelve screws and a harder handheld stack, including the lightbulb and six batteries.
  • Atari CX40: no license. Developers described four screws, a board, the stick, two shells, a red button, and a power cable. The wiki puts those four screws on the front panel.
  • Atari Jaguar: named in the announcement. No screw count or assembly order was on the wiki, so that page does not invent one.

Atari 2800 and Atari 800 are not given teardown pages here. They were not in the wiki device index on November 1, 2026, and the publisher sentence quoted above does not name them.

What "licensed" does not mean

The Steam store says the game includes officially licensed Atari consoles. That supports the partnership. It does not make a real Atari service manual the in-game order of operations. The CX40 is the clearest example of a simplified game object. Use the tables on the repair pages, then follow the notebook if a part will not release.

Contests for the 2600, CX40, and Lynx are on the Akiba Championship table, with their own entry fees and initial times. The full model index is the devices list.

The 2600 and Jaguar names are in the December 9, 2025 publisher announcement. Current tables were checked on the wiki device category. Store wording is the Steam page. The CX40 simplification is the developer description already tied to official news.
