ReStory Atari Jaguar

This ReStory Atari Jaguar page states the December 2025 license announcement and explains why no screw count or assembly order is published here.

This ReStory Atari Jaguar page separates the license announcement from the devices that currently have a published repair record. tinyBuild's December 9, 2025 announcement says ReStory includes licensed Atari consoles, naming the Atari 2600, the Jaguar, and more. The public device wiki checked on November 1, 2026 has assembly tables for the Atari 2600, Atari Lynx, and Atari CX40. It has no Jaguar page, so this guide does not invent screws, parts, or a disassembly order.

What is verified

The announcement is a naming fact, not a teardown. Steam's store page also says the game includes officially licensed Atari consoles, without listing every model in the requirements text. A December 2025 name does not prove that a Jaguar job, license price, or part row is present in the current build.

Use the Atari overview for the licensed-hardware context and the devices list for models that do have tables.

Disassembly order, parts, and tools

There is no verified Jaguar disassembly order to publish. Do not transfer the 2600, Lynx, or CX40 screw counts to a different Atari name. The shared bench tools are still the ones recorded for the game: a basic screwdriver and brush at the start, with brushes, ultrasonic baths, a soldering iron, and other tools sold separately. Those tools are not evidence that a Jaguar uses a particular screw layout.

Pitfalls

The older guide on this site grouped the 2600, 2800, Jaguar, Lynx, 800, and CX40 as one confirmed lineup. The 2600 and Jaguar are the models named together in the December 9, 2025 publisher announcement. A current public repair record was found for the 2600, Lynx, and CX40 only. Atari 2800 and Atari 800 repair steps were not in that wiki index, so they are not given part tables here.

If your notebook shows a Jaguar label, follow that job's own prompts and keep a note of the installed version. A real-world Jaguar service manual is not an in-game recipe.

Repair steps

  1. Read the in-game name. Compare the device label in the notebook with Atari 2600, Atari Lynx, and Atari CX40 before assuming it is the Jaguar.
  2. Use a published record only when the name matches. Open the matching repair page for screw counts and assembly order. Do not copy those tables onto a Jaguar job.
  3. Stop if the name is Jaguar and no record exists. Follow the notebook prompts for that job. Do not add parts from a real Jaguar teardown, because the game simplifies devices and no in-game Jaguar table is published here.
