The ReStory ultrasonic cleaner is the Kaiju bath in Home Depot, not a repair tool for broken components. Kaiju N3 costs ¥80,000 and cleans up to three parts. Kaiju N6 costs ¥120,000 and cleans up to six. Kaiju N9 costs ¥160,000 and cleans up to nine. A later model unlocks only after you buy the earlier one.
What the bath does
The bench starts with a screwdriver and a simple brush. Dirty parts can be cleaned with a brush or a bath. The game prompts cleaning mode when you pick up a dirty part. Broken parts are replaced from Parts - Packuten, a donor device, or a parts box. The bath does not replace that step.
Hands Free is the achievement for buying an automatic ultrasonic cleaner. Big cleaning! is 100 cleaned parts and Galactic cleaning! is 1,000. Patch 1.0.011r says sonic-bath cleaning counts toward those achievements and fixes parts that could not be cleaned. The cleaning guide covers the manual loop.
Patch fixes
Patch 1.0.009r fixed gadgets stuck in the sonic bath. Patch 1.0.013r fixed items lost in the bath. Patch 1.0.033r marks parts in the cleaner with a droplet icon, stops burnt components from becoming dirty again after a bath and a move to inventory, and locks the cleaner while you work on a competition device. Quest circuit boards no longer lose their soldering requirement after an ultrasonic clean in that same update.
The tools wiki describes a separate solder-indicator bug: traces may not turn light blue after cleaning even though soldering is still required. The recorded workaround is to place the part on the mat and pick it up again, sometimes more than once. That is a wiki-recorded workaround, not a new official patch line.
No published cycle time is attached to the N3, N6, or N9 capacities. Do not treat a player-reported number of seconds as a specification.
Repair steps
- Buy the current tier. Buy Kaiju N3 before N6, and N6 before N9. The recorded prices are 80,000, 120,000, and 160,000 yen.
- Confirm the part is dirty. Use the notebook. A broken part needs a replacement. The bath does not turn a broken part into a working one.
- Run the cycle and remove the part. Place an eligible dirty part in the bath, let the cycle finish, and take it out. From patch 1.0.033r the notebook marks bath parts with a droplet icon.
- Recheck soldering. If a cleaned part should show light-blue solder traces and does not, put it on the mat and pick it up again. The tools wiki lists that as the workaround for a known indicator bug.
